Food poisoning really sucks. I wasn't aware that Typhoid Mary worked at Shanghai Dragon but I'd like to thank her for my last several days in the loo. Luckily I have a super awesome girlfriend to take care of me, even when doing so is really gross.

I've decided to follow Ron, Luna, and Dean's example and answer any questions anyone has for me instead of filling out a questionnaire. I'm usually on the other side of that equation so this should be fun.

I just finished my last show on my first week. I think it went well. I'm certainly much less nervous than I was on Monday. They haven't sacked me yet so that's a good sign, I think!

I know that we were supposed to go out tomorrow but I have to cancel. Mandy came back and we sort of worked some things out with one another. I hope you'll understand. I'd love to take you out to dinner as friends though. Chinese. My treat?

My wireless show begins on Monday. The title is Now with Neville Longbottom. My first guest will be the Deputy Head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation. We'll be discussing the Muggle war in Iraq and Afghanistan and it's effects on the magical communities there. If you have any questions for my guest there will be firecalls from listeners during the last hour of the program.

I'm freaking out a little bit. Nothing a good long run can't fix though.

So I got a package with a little dragon in it this morning. I'm not quite sure if it is supposed to be a joke or a threat. It was definitely weird though.

Matches between the Falcons and Puddlemere are always really stressful for me. On one hand I've supported the Falcons since forever and on the other hand I know a lot of the athletes that play for Puddlemere.

Everyone took off early to go and get some cheap drinks at the Golden Lion. Anyone else going?

Those anti-werewolf nutters that were protesting in the Ministry today really got me. Unfortunately I had the opportunity to speak to a few of them and they said everything I expected them to say. I know that as a reporter I'm supposed to be objective but raw bigotry isn't something that should be tolerated by anyone. They say the same things about werewolves people said about Muggleborns during the war. It was illogical nonsense then and it is illogical nonsense now. You would think that people would have learned from that horrible experience. You would think that people might have grown a little bit. I guess many of us have but clearly not all. I guess old bigotries will always die kicking and screaming.

The Ministry's potential decision regarding Wolfsbane potion has obviously proven to be fairly controversial. I'm trying to write an article about the trials and tribulations that werewolves face in the United Kingdom. My main problem has been finding werewolves that are willing to talk to me. Let's face it, for decades our news media only had one voice and that voice usually wasn't very objective when it came to reporting on werewolves. The likes of Fenrir Greyback didn't do much to help public opinion either, of course.

I need help though. If anyone has a friend or relative who is a werewolf and would be willing to speak with me regarding this piece it would be much appreciated. I would be more than happy to interview them anonymously.

Oh and Megan? Those muffins are ridiculous!

Well it's official! I've been given my own show on the WWN. I'll be covering the news of the day every weekday and have guests on twice a week to discuss the news and takes questions from the audience. Is there anyone that isn't sick that would be up for celebrating this weekend?

Was up all night chasing down this new dragon sighting. You can read all about it in this morning's edition. I got there just in time to see...something. I can't say that it was a dragon for sure but it was big, whatever it was.

On a side note: I think I've managed to completely replace my blood with a Colombian blend.

Talking to eyewitnesses is a lot like pulling teeth. I've been trying to get to the bottom of these dragon sightings and feel like I'm chasing my tail around in circles. No two people seem to agree on what the dragon looked like and one of them helpfully drew me a picture of a Thestral. The goblins at Gringotts have, of course, been very uncooperative. I don't doubt that people did see something but this just proves to me how unreliable eyewitness testimony really is.

Big night tonight with the date auction. Everyone should come out for a good cause and maybe a chance to win a date chock-full of Longbottomy goodness.

Everyone in the office was coughing and sneezing today. It was like the first circle of a hypochondriac's hell. Luckily I was able to get out of there quickly. I'm normally not very squeamish about that sort of thing but that was pretty gross. I don't know how the Healers do it.

Going back to Hogwarts is really strange. The castle is never as big as I remember it. You can't help but wonder at how well it was rebuilt though. You can barely tell that the place was practically ruined. I have to say that sitting at the staff table for lunch was pretty awesome. I didn't get to give out any detentions or take away points though. Maybe next time.

Excessive amounts of firewhiskey on a weeknight isn't very much fun the next day. Hangover potions and copious amounts of water only do so much. For whatever reason I find myself craving fresh fruit.

Is anyone else going to the charity shows the W.A.D.A Players will be performing this week? It is a great cause and I think everyone should check it out. I'm not able to go and see them as much as I'd like so this seems like a really good excuse to slack off for an evening.
